The book also provides essential direction about the development of an algorithm for pedestrian detection system. A novel algorithm 'EK-PDS' is presented in this book based on edgelets and k-means classifier for detection of pedestrians under diverse challenging conditions.

Dr. Vijay Gaikwad received the Ph.D. degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Maharashtra, India. He is currently working in Department of Electronics Engineering at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune. He has authored over 30 research papers in various journals and conferences of repute.
