Being characterized by a dysfunction in the prefrontal cortex, ADHD has as constitution of its symptoms impulsivity, inattention disorders, impaired control of emotions, difficulty planning, elaboration of strategies and hyperactivity, with hyperkinesis. According to ARRUDA (2019), 912 thousand Brazilian children aged 5 to 12 years, have ADHD, an estimated percentage of 3.3% of the child population, as presented by IBGE. Children with ADHD are 7 times more likely to have accidents at home and 9 times more likely to be hospitalized for bruises and fractures, and in adulthood they are also at risk of difficulty maintaining relationships.
