This book discusses the education structure, the potential of English language learning, and the problems with CLT in the Bangladesh context. This book also explores some of the major features of CLT which the government of Bangladesh has been trying to make practising teachers adopt such an approach to classroom interaction for over a decade. In addition, this book presents an initial report into the teachers attitudes and beliefs about classroom principles and practice in CLT, how materials and activities are deployed in current teaching strategies, and the students perceptions of their roles in classes.
