Autorenporträt
Jerold C. Frakes is SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of English at the University at Buffalo, where he teaches Medieval Literature. He has previously taught Comparative Literature and Medieval German Literature at the University of Southern California, and Yiddish at Columbia University and the Vilnius Yiddish Institute. His publications include the OUP volumes Early Yiddish Texts 1100-1750 (2004; paperback 2008) and Introduction to Old Yiddish Literature (by Jean Baumgarten, translated by Frakes 2005) , as well as The Emergence of Early Yiddish Literature: Cultural Translation in Ashkenaz (Indiana University Press, 2017).
