The main purpose of this book is to document some moribund lexicons of Oromo Language of Bale Zone. The methods used for collecting these moribund Oromo lexicons are elicitation and interview. The moribund lexicons gathered with these instruments are categorized, translated into more communicable Oromo language and also into possible English language to reach the wider international audiences. Moreover, attempts have been made to supplement the translations (both in Afan Oromo and English) by giving examples of sentence constructions in their contexts to clarify the possible meanings of the moribund Oromo language spoken in Bale Zone. The meanings of the moribund Afan Oromo lexicons have been used in complete sentences both in Afan Oromo and English, too. The linguistic corpuses collected indicate that much of Bale Oromo lexicons are dying and possibly some referent with moribund lexicons in the Zone may be disappearing.
