Autorenporträt
The author, Aldous Huxley, was born in England on 26 July 1894. He was member of a prominent family of intellectuals, including his elder brother Julian Huxley. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature seven times. In his later years, he emigrated to the United States of America and lived in Los Angeles, California. He died there on 22 November 1963. Although he wrote 50 books, he is remembered for this one, Brave New World.
