Kevin Brooks Thriller „Bunker Diary“
„Warum tut er das?“ Diese Frage kommt häufiger in dem neuen Buch „ Bunker Diary von Kevin Brooks vor. Ein offensichtlicher Psychopath sperrt sechs völlig verschiedene Menschen zusammen in einen Bunker unter der Erde. Vollkommen abgeschnitten von der Außenwelt und ohne jedes Wissen über das „Warum“ versucht der sechzehnjährige Linus den Kampf um das Leben in einem Tagebuch zu protokollieren. Er kommt als Erster in den Bunker, danach die neunjährige Jenny, der Junkie Frank, die Jetset-Frau Anja, der Geschäftsmann Bird und der todkranke Naturphilosoph Russell. Die Situation eskaliert, als der Entführer verspricht, denjenigen freizulassen, der einen anderen umbringt. Linus schreibt alles auf, was ihm in den Sinn kommt. Sogar wenn er zu müde ist zu schreiben. Das erzeugt eine starke Spannung, als hätte es Linus wirklich gegeben, und das zieht einen in den Bann. Ich habe mich bei der Lektüre des Buches gefragt: „Kann man das Buch wirklich für Jugendliche empfehlen?“ Ich bin der persönlichen Meinung, dass man es als Jugendlicher AUF JEDEN FALL dann lesen sollte, wenn einem Nichts was im Leben wichtig ist von Janne Teller gefallen hat, und man wissen will, ob es möglich ist, in einer Situation, in der es um das nackte Leben geht, humanitäre Standards einzuhalten. Buchhändler sollten das Buch nur mit einer mündlichen Warnung verkaufen, dass man die letzten Seiten nur in einem hellen Raum mit anderen Personen lesen soll.
