Autorenporträt
Helen is married and lives with her husband in Renfrewshire. She has two children, one granddaughter and three grandsons. Her family are important to her.

Although born in Glasgow, Helen was brought up in Alwoodley between Leeds and Harrogate. There are no longer any family members left in Yorkshire but she revisits often for research.

Being inspired by Rebecca Shaw's village series, Helen decided to have a go herself using her own fictitious Yorkshire village of Beckanwood.

When she is not writing she enjoys reading, gardening, baking and anything to do with crafts, online jigsaws and watching TV especially serials and historical documentaries.

This is Helen's first book but there is a sequel waiting in the wings.
