Autorenporträt
Giuseppina Magnaldi is Professor of Classical Philology at the University of Turin (Italy), where she taught until 2018. She is a member of the scientific boards of the Revue d'Histoire des Textes, Lexis, and Fondazione Parini Chirio, and is also co-editor of the 'Minima Philologica' and 'Millennium' series for Edizioni dell'Orso. In December 2001 she was awarded the Italian Premiership's prize for culture 'for outstanding activity in essay-writing'; she has published many books and articles about the philosophical theory of oikeíosis and on the manuscript tradition and the constitutio textus of several Greek and Latin authors (including Galen, Cicero, Varro, Seneca, Suetonius, Tacitus, Gellius, and Apuleius), with special attention to the ancient marginal notes passed into the texts.
