From scorched tires from the desert heat to picking up different languages, he persevered and carried onward as returning home was not an option. After his journey, Faustin settles down for a bit and eventually immigrates to the United States; but the turmoil of his home country and the fate of his loved ones that he left behind still weighed on him. Ultimately, he is forced to watch helplessly from across the world as the Rwandan Genocide occurs.
