Instead, this mysterious book raises more questions, making her desire to stay within the book and learn everything she can about the two people the story follows. The book brings Emilia to the past, revealing the love affair of a lonely king and the war nurse he has loved his entire life, but tragedy and politics have kept them apart. No matter what our King does, he can't seem to reclaim his childhood love, and even if he could, he might be startled to discover she isn't as eager as he hoped. Not only is he prepared to go to battle to get her back, but he is also willing to give his life.
