Beth Allison Barr (PhD, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, is James Vardaman Professor of History at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she specializes in medieval history, women's history, and church history. She is the author of Becoming the Pastor's Wife and The Making of Biblical Womanhood, writes regularly on her substack Marginalia, and is cohost of the podcast miniseries All the Buried Women. Barr has bylines with Christianity Today, The Washington Post, MSNBC, Premier Christianity, Religion News Service, The Dallas Morning News, Sojourners, and Baptist News Global, and her work has been featured by NPR and The New Yorker.
