The original purpose of this publication remains the same: to serve as a comprehensive reference book for medical undergraduates, residents, and family physicians, who are often the first line of eye care providers in the community. The book is designed to cover all the Entrusted Professional Activities (EPAs) mandated by the Undergraduate Ophthalmology curriculum in Singapore. The chapters have been thoroughly revised, with the addition of new clinical images and expanded coverage of ophthalmic conditions. This edition also introduces three new chapters: one on basic electrophysiology, which aims to clarify the complex electrical responses of the retina and visual pathway to light; another on biostatistics, intended to inspire students to engage in basic research; and a comprehensive chapter on the End of Posting Test (EOPT), featuring scenario-based questions and answers from every subspecialty in ophthalmology, which will be invaluable for students preparing for assessments.
