By valuing learners diverse knowledge and lived experiences, TEP cultivates critical thinking, relational awareness, a sense of interconnectedness, well-being, active citizenship, and other key skills needed for today s complex world preparing learners to tackle challenges and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future. Initially developed to engage with sensitive and controversial topics in diverse social scienceclassrooms, TEP aspires to become a bold and widely applicable approach. As such, TEP is presented as one way forward to support the broader shift unfolding in education today.
