The goals are to provide an interactive dating guide for all ages--for parents/guardians/adults to be aware of who their kids interact with and where and how and persuade everyone to do their own research and background checks (as deemed necessary). The objectives are to provide an easy-to-read guide for readers looking to acquire more knowledge on dating, to identify and analyze personality traits and characteristics, to acquire dating skills, to develop effective and safe dating strategies, to identify red flags and avoid dangerous situations, to learn from (or share) others' experiences by patronizing the following question-answer email: datingforallages@gmail.com, and how to find a date: socialize! The methodology for this book involved gathering information from informal and unstructured interviews with several individuals from different backgrounds and careers, namely school teachers, pediatricians, single people, married people, and divorcees, to name a few. Considerable internet research was done also. Perspectives are based on views and insights from family background, upbringing, early childhood education and socialization, social and neighborhood environment, human psychology, personal experiences, education, income, and social class and status. Over thirty type of daters are listed by definition, ranging from smart daters, to dumb, to serial killers, to haters, and to one-night standers. Pick your poison (if you rush in blindly). Many scenarios are discussed: dating during a pandemic, youth dating, dating for seniors, the power of love, training your children (bending the tree while it's young), dating in the city where everyone can see you vs. dating in a remote rural area, online dating vs. in-person, and blind dating vs. wing dating. There are lots more. Some hot-button issues are examined too. For example, at what age is it okay to start dating? Should dating be part of the school's curriculum? Should families teach their kids how to date? What are the two-to-five-year rule vs. the three-to-six-month rule? Do you believe in the zodiac (compatibility) signs? How do you approach someone for a date? Do pickup lines work? There is no "one size fits all approach." Hint: ask open-ended questions that can't yield simple yes or no answers. Pique someone's interest by trying to find out what they are interested in. The list goes on and on. Be my guest. Practice safe dating. How to look for red flags and which ones to look for are of paramount importance. There can be lots on intrigue and drama in dating. We live in a complex and diverse world that has dangerous people.
