Ram Gidoomal was born into an Indian immigrant family in Kenya. Aged 17, his family moved to London where Ram built a successful career in business. A life changing journey led him to dedicate his business skills and profits to those who need them most. He was awarded the CBE in 1998 and is included in Highflyers50 -the 50 most eminent people of Indian origin living and working outside India.
