Carbon nanofiber (CNF) layers are grown on flat and porous substrates for their application as catalyst supports for chemical and electrochemical gas-liquid-solid catalytic reactions. High yield of carbon is detrimental for obtaining well-attached and homogenously distributed CNFs.
