The present study is an attempt to analyze register in translation of a literary text. The research is a contrastive analysis which aims to analyze and compare register based on House's Translation Quality Assessment (TQA) model in a selected literary text and its translations. The study is also interested in the translators that have been successful in rendering source text (ST). The selected book which is considered as the corpus is Animal Farm (1945) by George Orwell. The finding of this study showed that there are significance differences in translators' approach to literary and popular texts at the stylistic level in the area of register, especially when dealing with levels of formality and variables of field, tenor and mode which are considered by the author of the source texts.
