The fluidized bed technology gains wide applications in metallurgical, energy, chemical and petrochemical industries. Furthermore, the need to ensure high throughput, enhanced gas-solid contact, short residence time and ease of fuel and solids handling, points the turbulent fluidized bed as the promising and feasible technology. This technology can be considered as a framework to put forward the novel devices and can be expanded to examine the incineration of more specialized and hazardous wastes, based on the comprehensive information provided in this book.
