Born and raised in Georgia, this self-described tomboy lived out life's opportunities: becoming a police dispatcher, EMT and marrying young to a man she loved. Then her MS diagnosis in 2002 occurred, resulting in a new life of doctor appointments, hospital visits and her subsequent divorce from her husband.
