The process of environmental impact assessment should be incorporated in shrimp farming activities to identify the potential impact on the environment and mitigation measures. Organic shrimp farming should be developed in India since organically practiced shrimps fetches good price and provide health security. Close recycle systems with Biological inputs (fish, bivalves, seagrass etc.) must be developed.
