My aim in publishing these little jewels has been twofold: to vent some of the outrageous puns and other wordplay that keeps invading my mind, and to show the world that a limerick can be fun without being "dirty". To quote from the introductory section of the book: "these limericks are clean. For the most part, squeaky clean.
