The present outbreak of a coronavirus-associated with an acute respiratory disease called coronavirus disease 19(COVID-19) is the third documented spillover of an animal coronavirus to humans in the last two decades that has resulted in a major pandemic the other two being SARS-CoV-1 and Middle East respiratory syndrome(MERS-CoV) in the years 2003 and 2012 respectively. As of 4th February, 2021 there are total approximately 10.4 cr positive COVID-19 cases globally. The role of Dentists at work to prevent the spread of this disease and to manage patients' during this crucial time of pandemic is the main concern.
