Welcome To Witherleigh 'Haven't you wondered why there is a vacancy at the church? They killed him. They're all in it together.' Witherleigh is a small village set on the fringes of Exmoor. But quiet places hold deadly secrets. When the new church worker Richard Radcliffe arrives, he expects to find a welcoming but ancient farming community. Unfortunately, he soon realises that something is very wrong in Witherleigh. Soon Richard is drawn into a centuries old conspiracy involving ancient farming families, witchcraft, and demonry. He joins forces with Bethany Bond, the daughter of one of the missing curates, who is working undercover at the Bishop's Nod, the local pub. To find justice for the murdered curates, they must fight for not only their own lives but for the very souls of the missing. 'The ever-failing Richard Radcliffe is thrown into the depths of demonic Devonshire, armed only with elastic bands and a passable knowledge of Latin. Can he quell the ghastly happenings in the sleepy village of Witherleigh? Will Bethany ever see him as more than an insane fool? Will Snowy ever find Martha? All these questions and more will be answered in this intellectually-inspired craft from PJ Reed.' 'Fantastic clever descriptions, readable, engaging, educational. I won't be stopping in some farmer's caravan from now on. Clever twists in the story and brilliant dark humour, use of certain words conjured up imagery that might make us blush as much as Richard. You've captured Devon perfectly. I loved the hints about various characters habits ... the role of the church in rural communities ... ministering to their flock ... the organic veg box !!! .... and the whole happy chicken thing is topically engaging .... you find a good burger made from happy chickens ... mmm, I'm sure. I can only surmise you've been in some odd situations to be able to write it so fluently...Your work had some wonderful situational humour too. One more thing, the innocence of Richard caught up in situations that to outside observers made him without doubt guilty ! Clever stuff. 'He was in the toilet with his doll cutting himself ' ... how damning is that eh? Really well done.' RS This is Book 1 in the Richard Radcliffe Paranormal Investigations Series.
