Perlentaucher-Notiz zur NZZ-Rezension

Eine ganz besondere Anthologie hat Stefana Sabin da gelesen. Besonders, weil die Herausgeber Manfred Pfister und Jürgen Gutsch in allen Winkeln der Erde nach Übersetzungen von Shakespeare-Sonetten gesucht und manche sogar erst in Auftrag gegeben haben. Und weil sich der Rezensentin beim Lesen der bekannten Couplets auf Rätoromanisch, Plattdütsch oder in der Kunstsprache Klingonisch und der lehrreichen philologischen Überblicke die Besonderheiten der einzelnen Sprachen und Dialekte erschließen. Aber auch die ungebrochene globale Popularität der Sonette. Dass die Essays und das Vorwort des Bandes in englischer Sprache verfasst sind, erscheint Sabin da nur folgerichtig.
