Excellent book!
It brought me to know more about Varieties of Capitalism by looking into a different country: Mexico
In this contemporary history book, the author manages to give a deep introduction about the topic of varieties of capitalism. Adds the analysis of contemporary Mexico and reaches some critiques as conclusion.
It gives you a well done study in relatively few pages. It also contains invaluable charts of macro-economic indicators that would give you many issues to discuss about Mexico.
This is a great book for those interested in political economy, capitalism and related topics.
Don't bother. Horrible book, poorly written. Characters are stereotypes, you can guess the way the story goes from the beginning, it's a repeat of this kind of books or films about a bad company (or similar entity), when the main characters discover who is behind the bad entity.
