Thin-layer chromatography (TLC) is a powerful, fast and inexpensive analytical method. It has proven its usefulness in pharmaceutical, food and environmental analysis. Inzwischen ist das DC-Buch nur noch in Englisch in gedruckter Form erhältlich, trotzdem ist es für Labormitarbeiter, Azubis und Pharmaziepraktikanten die beste Anleitung zum Erlernen der Methode. ... und was den alten Stahl angeht: wenn es nach ihm gegangangen wäre, gäbe es heute weder die HPTLC-Kieselgele, geschweige denn ein anderes modernes Sorbens. Der Preis des Buches ist sicher auf den hochwertig gedruckten Abbildungen begründet. Bücher in schlechter Druckqualität (siehe den alten Stahl) haben überhaupt keine farbigen Abbildungen von Dünnschicht-Chromatogrammen. Dieses Lehrbuch von E. HD ist weltweit etabliert und wird als Standardwerk angesehen.
