KURZ-REZI: An manchen Stellen sehr vorhersehbar, aber dennoch spannend!

Das Setting! Die Katakomben waren einer der Gründe, warum ich das Buch überhaupt gekauft habe. Und die Story schafft es, sie in all ihren Facetten darzustellen: mysteriös, spannend und gefährlich.
Ich mochte auch die Protagonisten sehr gerne! Ruby ist nicht perfekt, aber sie ist sich dessen auch selbst bewusst. Das macht sie sehr greifbar und sympathisch. Zudem fand ich es spannend, dass ihre Ambitionen YouTube Influencerin zu werden zwar immer wieder eine Rolle spielen, aber nicht der Fokus ihrer Persönlichkeit sind.
Das ganze Buch fühlt sich an wie ein Film auf Papier. Und da es nicht so lang ist, kann man es in einem Zug durchlesen.
DAS FAND ICH NICHT SO GUT
Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob es die zwei POVs wirklich gebraucht hätte. Sean war mir super sympathisch, doch die Story oben war halt nicht so spannend wie das Geschehen in den Katakomben. Klar, es ist wichtig zu wissen, wie nach den verschwundenen Mädels gesucht wird, doch das hätte man auch kürzer machen können und dafür mehr Kapitel in den Katakomben.
