The ultimate goal of writing my memoir was for cathartic reasons, to find inner peace from the turmoil and challenges of my 'uncharted' life. I hope to reveal some of the psychological dynamics of Irene Waldheim's family in order to promote an in-depth understanding not only for her, but for all those concerned, whose names and places I have changed for privacy reasons, as well as to protect the innocent and the guilty. My intention is not to accuse or offend; rather it is a labor of love in an attempt to enlighten and help others who have faced similar circumstances.
