Marta Mahoney was born in Detroit, but has spent most of her life in California. From an early age, she wanted to be a writer, and graduated from Stanford with a degree in English. Life intervened, and she pursued a business career instead. Now she is fulfilling her dream. "The Christmas Trolley" is her first novel.
