This monograph presents the result of the work of the Czechoslovak Egyptological Expedition to Nubia in Qertassi and Tafa in the 1960s. Except for other tasks, the expedition was assigned by the Egyptian authorities to survey and reconstruct the plan of the enclosure wall of the fortress in Qertassi, and to locate the remnants of the so-called Southern Temple in Tafa.
