Autor

Noël Carroll is Distinguished Professor of Philosophyat the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, a formerPresident of the American Society for Aesthetics, and a recipientof the Guggenheim Fellowship. He has published numerous booksincluding the Philosophy of Horror (1990) and APhilosophy of Mass Art (1999). He has also worked as ajournalist and has written five documentary pictures.

Lester H. Hunt is Professor of Philosophy at theUniversity of Wisconsin, Madison. He has also taught atCarnegie-Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh, and TheJohn Hopkins University. He has written extensively on ethics,political philosophy, and the aesthetics of film, and is the authorof Nietzsche and the Origins of Virtue (1990) andCharacter and Culture (1998). He is currently working on abook on anarchy and the justification of the state.
