This work consists of a petrographic study of Kwilu limestone in the Lukala subgroup mined at Songololo by the Kongo cement plant (CIMKO). From a macroscopic point of view, 22 boreholes were described and divided into three lithofacies. Analysis of the samples brought back to the laboratory showed diagenesis of the micrite, which transforms into microsparite and sparite.
