Two adventurers from a faraway planet come to earth seeking information about the afterlife. They solicit the help of a young boy and after telling him about their planet he agrees to help. They are soon joined by a leadership personality and an intellectual personality from the faraway planet. They begin a fantasy journey to learn about immortality and the afterlife. They have the ability to visit any time and any place in their search for things that have been written or spoken. They discover things known by various religions concerning the creation and the beginning of life and the afterlife. They are confounded by some of the information and are joined by a faith personality who has perceived their confusion. These six distinctly different personalities explore information from various sources and discuss some ramifications of the findings. They learn doctrines and theories about creation and immortality and also the many forms that the afterlife might take. They search for and find truth in many forms. This story is not only about finding information but also the thought processes involved to understand the information. An important facet of the story is the fact that non-humans think differently than humans and ask different questions. This story is about the acceptance and understanding of divine truth. After their search for the "afterlife" has generated more questions than answers they turn to a search for the "meaning of life". This story is about their adventures and their conclusions regarding religion and the meaning of life. It is told using playful and sometimes irreverent dialogue. The tale is made more interesting with the inclusion of illustration by the talented artist Penny Moroney.

Autor

The author was born in Pocatello Idaho in 1934. He grew up in a farming community near Rexburg where he began a lifetime of thinking about God and God's ways. After high school he served three years in the army then studied physics and mathematics. His working life was spent teaching mathematics and he is now retired. Inspirations to write this story began when he was five years old attending Sunday school with his mother. Those inspirations matured and accumulated for another sixty years. His study of mathematical foundations introduced some ideas that motivated him to think about the logic used to understand religion. His selection of a dialogue style for the literary vehicle is intended to make the reading easy and entertaining. He now spends his days seeking the meaning of life and he prays every night to a God he knows nothing about. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
