Jane Snipes was born in Wales and occasionally attended church with her grandmother. Her faith journey truly began in college when she hit rock bottom. At the suggestion of a professor, she sought out a church, and her faith started to take root. A few years later, a discussion with two missionaries sparked her motivation to begin reading the Bible. That watershed conversation ignited a fire that resulted in Jane's reading the Bible cover-to-cover every year for the next 20 years. As the founder and president of Northstar Recruiting, Jane witnesses firsthand how losing a job can be one of life's most challenging trials-often leading people to question God's presence. One client's story, in particular, motivated her to write The Shepherd. Jane is also the author of Surviving the Job Search, Stories from the Trenches, The Ultimate Resume Writing Workbook, and Staffing Your Small Business. She and her husband live in South Carolina and enjoy road trips throughout the US. Jane's goal is to ride her bike in all 50 states; she's made tracks in 38 so far.
