International Politics: cooperation and integration problems and challenges facing Africa; which is my contribution, is designed to enable social scientists, especially political scientists to appreciate that certain cooperation and integration issues negatively affect the continent in establishing an efficient, effective, respectable functional continental government and administration system. The study which is basically descriptive - analytical - explanatory, (a) presents an historical background to international cooperation and integration issues; (b) defines specifically a set of cooperation and integration problems and challenges which continue to dog African collective development initiatives; (c) illustrates ECOWAS and SADC endeavours as practical examples that face cooperation and integration problems and challenges; and (d) also demonstrates devouring internal discords that devastate and betray Africa's cooperation and integration causes. However, the study concludes byoffering some recommendations which should be viewed as possible solutions to the African Union representation challenges.
