During the Ptolemaic period, Egyptian temples were divided into three ranks: first, second and third class. This volume examines the rules according to which Egyptian sacred buildings were classified and how the different classes of temples were planned and arranged.

Autor

Ilaria Rossetti is an archaeology officer at the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. She has a Master's Degree in Egyptology from Bologna University and a PhD from the Siena University Doctorate School. She has been involved in numerous archaeological projects and has published a monograph on one of the temples of Bakchias along with various excavation reports and other contributions.
