This book by PhD Asgar Zeynalov has been devoted to Victor Hugo's creative activity. The monograph deals with the French writer's life, the Azerbaijani translation of his books and their studies. It presents the analysis of Hugo's collection of poems "Les Orientales", his verses dedicated to the death of his daughter Leopoldine as well as the novels "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and "Les Miserables". The book also touches upon the lives and creative activities of the writer, who were Hugo's contemporaries.

Autor

Asgar Zeynalov is a philology doctor and full-time professor at Azerbaijan University of Languages. He is the author of more than 10 books and more than 100 articles about French literature. His works were published in many foreign countries. He is the first author of monographies about Volter and Victor Hugo in Azerbaijani literature.
