Researched and written by the Office of the Historian of the U.S. House of Representatives, Hispanic Americans in Congress, 1822-2012 is the third of four congressionally mandated volumes about women and minorities who have served in Congress. The first two volumes were Women in Congress, 1917-2006 (Washington, D.C.: Government Printing Office, 2006), and Black Americans in Congress, 1870-2007 (Washington, D.C.: Government Printing Office, 2007).
