Autor

Lissette J. Hernandez has been with the Miami-Dade Couny Public School System as an elementary teacher for 23 years. Lisette's inspiration for this book came from the experiences of her own son, Gabriel. At 23 months of age, Gabriel was diagnosed with mild to moderate autism. It was unexpected news that drastically changed her life forever. Gabriel struggles with the disorder as it affects many aspects of his daily life. Still, he continues to strive as he improves little by litte each day with love and help fromhis family, therapist, teachers. This is Lisette's first childrens' book.
