Environmental education is an essential component of human experience. It is found in all the spaces we pass through on a daily basis - in the park, in the bakery, at home, on the bus, in the market, in the stores. However, it is at school that it appears as an excellent opportunity for reflection. So who better to propose alternatives for achieving socio-environmental sustainability than teachers? Teachers have the ability to foster practices, promote conceptual changes and help make decisions permeated by awareness of the actions and facts that arise from our choices. To achieve this, it is also necessary to look at the curriculum with which the educational space works. This instrument needs to be linked to pedagogical actions. Finally, in order to do Environmental Education, it is imperative that we know what our understanding of it is. In this sense, analyzing the tendencies through which it manifests itself opens up a horizon for the exchange of teaching work, the curriculumand Environmental Education itself!
