The study "Coverage of the Boko Haram Activities by Nigerian National Dailies" analyzed newspaper coverage from November 2011 to August 2012 using quantitative content analysis. It found that newspapers gave significant prominence to Boko Haram activities, with attacks being the most reported theme. However, there was no significant relationship between the prominence of coverage and the volume of reports. The study concluded that Nigerian newspapers prioritized coverage of Boko Haram and recommended enhanced training for journalists in conflict reporting.
