Janelle Harris, but her stage name is 'Daisy Violet'. She grew to love poetry when her sixth-grade teacher read Maya Angelou 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.' From there she uses written words to express her feelings and thoughts. In 2022, her friend Zena Goodwin who is the director/coordinator for 'Poets for Justice' invited her to do a showcase for 'Finding hope in a hopeless situation.' For the first time, she went on stage and shared 'Your Forever Home.' And Token of Hope.' Over the years she worked with families and teens helping them find a healthy source of outlet to express themselves amid troubled times.
