CBA bestseller

Vujicic (Life Without Limits), an Australian evangelist and motivational speaker who directs the nonprofit Life Without Limbs, eagerly spreads the Christian message in this joyous book. Vujicic was born without arms or legs and here writes about how he doesn't let this or any obstacle interfere with his mission to preach and live life to the fullest. "These days, more than ever," he writes, "I can be the hands and feet of Jesus both on the road and at home." The title-a frequent refrain throughout the book-comes from a Saint Teresa of Avila quote that was particularly affecting for Vujicic during his formative spiritual education. Anecdotes about encounters with believers and doubters during speaking engagements are peppered throughout and showcase his persuasive and compassionate demeanor. He also offers helpful Scripture passages and tips on evangelizing. The book's most memorable passages are the loving character portraits; for instance, he writes affectionately about his school janitor, Mr. Arnold, who "encouraged me to talk openly about my struggles with my disabilities and my faith." Vujicic's excitement about Christianity is infectious and will appeal to young people.
