The East struggles to capitalise on the capitulation of the West as the underworld vies for supremacy. The story begins in 2034, where Natasha has committed a crime & is unable to find her way home. She is shot; waking in a sanatorium for the unwanted, where bodies are used in experiments. The time reverts to 2019, where young revellers are celebrating the end of term results before returning to reality, where events conspire against them changing their lives forever, as they wind their different paths through the gradual disintegration of democracy; eventually arriving at a crossroads, but the result of their decisions brings catastrophe. Numerous world events hasten the decline of society; beginning the descent towards a plausible dystopian future; where fact and fiction are blurred and the seats of power crumbling.
