The new revised introduction to French morphology is comprised of
three main parts: Part I develops the basic concepts and the
descriptive methods of structural morphology, Part II deals with
the inflection of nouns, adjectives and verbs, while Part III
provides a survey of the different means of word formation of the
French language (suffixation, prefixation, parasynthesis,
composition), covering both oral and written language in equal
measure. A glossary rounds off the work with important linguistic
terms in German and their French counterparts.
Das Arbeitsheft wendet sich an Studierende des Französischen. Im I.
Teil werden die Grundbegriffe und Beschreibungsmethoden der
strukturellen Morphologie dargelegt; im II. Teil schließt sich eine
Beschreibung der französischen Substantiv-, Adjektiv- und
Verbflexion an; der III. Teil enthält einen überblick über die
Wortbildungsverfahren des Französischen: Suffigierung,
Präfigierung, Parasynthese und Komposition. Dabei werden die
gesprochene und die geschriebene Sprache gleichermaßen
berücksichtigt. Im Mittelpunkt der Einführung steht das Bemühen um
eine Gesamtdarstellung nach einheitlichen strukturalistischen
Gesichtspunkten.
