Krystina Castella has made a career from projects that start as play. For ten years, she was the proprietor of a design company that produced diverse products, including furniture, toys, clothing, stationery, housewares, and soft goods. She distributed though high-end and mass-market retailers, including Urban Outfitters, Crate and Barrel, Bed Bath and Beyond, Papyrus, and Target. She is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, and she is currently a professor at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. The Museum of Modern Art, Fortune magazine, and Oprah WInfrey have all praised Krystina's creative achievements, and she has won numerous design and teaching awards
