Well, in our family, everyday life not only included feeding the dog, doing the laundry, washing the dishes, running errands and making dinner, it also included the occasional emergency room visit for the most ridiculous injuries, some really creative parenting, smart aleck children who weren't always cooperative, the most insane pets doing the most ridiculous things, a very "thrifty" dad and a C.D.O. mom (yes, that's me; and for those of you who don't know what C.D.O. is.....I explain it all in Chapter Five). And, with everything that's happened to us over the years (at the end of each day) my husband and I would just look at each other and ask ourselves..."Are we normal?"
