Wibke Bruhns, Jahrgang 1938, aufgewachsen in Internaten. Abbruch eines Volontariat bei der Bild-Zeitung aus politischen Gründen. Sie schrieb für die Zeit und wechselte zum Fernsehen, wo sie 1971 als erste Frau vor die Kameras von "Heute" trat. Nach 1973 Produktion von Beiträge für Panorama. Für den Stern Korrespondentin in Israel und Washington. Auszeichnung mit dem Egon-Erwin-Kisch-Preis, 2006 mit dem Friedrich-Schiedel-Literaturpreis. Heute ist Wibke Bruhns freie Autorin.
