Human development in Sub-Saharan Africa remains the
lowest worldwide, and many issues need to be
addressed that have so far been ignored by
the Corporate Social Responsibility movement.
Corporate sector involvement in human development
issues has been only marginal over the past years,
and involved mainly financial support for
international development organizations. But there is
a way out of the human development dilemma, the win-
win situation of a cross-sectoral partnership. Is it
possible to address human development issues by
establishing partnerships between NGOs and companies?
